Obama root

This article purports to witness the grave of Barak Obama, Senior, biological father of candidate Obama, BHO.  Based on the village practice of polygamy,  Senior was born of 1 of 4 wives of Senior's father.  The article describes the home currently occupied by another wife of Senior's father, Sarah, who, therefore is BHO's step-grandMother.  Since writing my comment below on 2008 02 24, i have learned that the concept of "cousin" as used by Kristof has a broader meaning in that village than is commonly constrained in the US to direct family relations.  So, Jane Raila's use of "cousin" may mean:  long-time village friend of Sarah's family.

49. Jiyun.  On the flag pin.  I have one and wear it especially around republicans, my heritage, signifying unity against Evil.

Like the many "Christian", wearing church attendance as a qualifier, the pin usually represents hypocrisy and cover for greed.  Enron greed.  The protection of status.  The Enron principals undoubtedly all wore the pin and attended church.  My guess is Barack’s course is not based on mimicry – especially of hypocrisy – but on original, independent leadership, audaciously redefining the marks of virtue and nobility.
